Welcome to 2010 OBAP Aviation Career Academies Summer Programs
Thank you for visiting the ACE Academy page of the OBAP website. My fellow ACE Academy directors and instructors are proud to be part of one of OBAP's marquee programs. As you have already read, the OBAP ACE Academy is a nationally recognized program co-sponsored by the FAA and NBCFAE.
What you may be unaware of is that each summer, our ACE Academy program is the venue by which OBAP introduces hundreds of students to the world of aviation for the first time. In almost every ACE Academy we host, a student will receive an orientation flight, giving them the opportunity to handle the controls of an actual aircraft. That singular moment in time changes perspectives for a lifetime, and reveals a world of career opportunities a student may have never thought possible.
For the 2010 season, OBAP is projected to host 25 ACE Academies in 20 states and territories. This translates to at least 680 students participating in our programs, hopefully compelling them to pursue a career in aviation. If you wish to attend an ACE Academy, or you're a parent looking to enroll your child in one of our programs, please select a state on our map of the United States.
As you view each state, the locations, dates and contact information for the directors of each ACE Academy appear for your convenience. Feel free to contact them with questions you may have about the upcoming season.
In March of 2010, the ACE Academy program will unveil its new look. Each ACE Academy will have its own web page that will contain all the information one could want to know about each individual program. We've put a great deal of effort into ensuring that the new product is intuitive and informative. As the National Director of the ACE Academy program, I'm confident you'll appreciate all the work we've done to improve the ACE Academy program.
