Cedric Davis is a First Officer with United Airlines with over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry. Since joining United in February 2016, he has been based in Newark, NJ flying the Boeing 737. Prior to United Airlines, Cedric spent 12 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Engineer and 19 years flying cargo worldwide for Kalitta Air, LLC and Atlas Air, Inc.
Cedric holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilmington University in Aviation Management with a concentration in Flight Operations. He is a licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic, turbojet flight engineer and type rated on the B737, B757/767 and B747-400.
Cedric has been a member of OBAP since 2006. During his tenure with OBAP Cedric has been an active member and dedicated volunteer. Cedric currently serves on the Board of Directors as Chair of the Communications. Previously he’s served as co-chair of the Aerospace Professionals in Schools (APIS) program, Director of the Dover ACE Academy and a member of the Aerospace Professional Development Program (APDP). In 2017 Cedric was the inaugural Director of the Newark ACE Academy sponsored by United Airlines and continues to hold that position.
Cedric is a Life Member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. for which he received the Psi Iota Chapter Omega Man of The Year Award and the Basileus Award for his volunteer efforts and commitment to the community of Dover, Delaware. He’s a member of Tuskegee Airman, Inc. and also serves on the planning committee for the annual birthday celebration for Dr. Ronald E. McNair, NASA Challenger Astronaut, held in his hometown, Lake City, SC.
Cedric’s passion for aviation and volunteerism stems from the lack of organizations like OBAP when he began his journey in aviation.
Cedric, his wife Tracey and their Miniature Schnauzer Gordy currently live in Philadelphia, PA.
