Captain Cory Glenn serves as Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP), where he helps guide financial oversight, governance, transparency, and long-term stewardship in support of OBAP’s mission to expand opportunity across aviation and aerospace.

As Treasurer, Captain Glenn focuses on strengthening budget discipline, forecasting, internal controls, financial reporting, and board-level decision support so OBAP can responsibly scale programs that develop students, professionals, and future industry leaders. His leadership reflects a belief that financial stewardship is more than compliance; it is a strategic capability that protects the mission, builds institutional trust, and expands OBAP’s capacity for impact.

Captain Glenn is a Boeing 777 Check Pilot at American Airlines and previously served as Director of Pilot Recruiting & Development. In that role, he helped lead national pilot pipeline, recruiting, selection, and development strategies during a defining period for airline hiring. His work expanded the scope and diversity of American Airlines’ pilot pipeline while also reinforcing rigorous qualification standards, structured candidate evaluation, and quality assurance practices focused on identifying and developing the best pilots. That work helped influence how pilot recruiting, qualification, and pipeline quality are benchmarked across the aviation industry today.

Captain Glenn brings more than 20 years of airline experience and a 27-year military career to his board service. His leadership background spans aviation operations, flight instruction, training, readiness, enterprise risk management, workforce development, and organizational strategy.

An OBAP member since 1998, Captain Glenn has spent decades advancing access to aerospace careers through mentorship, youth aviation education, and leadership development. He has directed and co-directed OBAP ACE Academy initiatives that expose middle and high school students to aviation and aerospace career pathways. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Portland State University.

Across his professional, military, and nonprofit service, Captain Glenn’s work is centered on building sustainable pathways into aviation, strengthening institutional trust, and preparing the next generation of aerospace professionals to lead with excellence.
