2020 ACE Academy Updates

UPDATED 3-25-2020

Over the course of the past 30 days, we've seen the devastating impact the Coronavirus, COVID-19, has had on our daily lives, professions, and respective companies. Many companies have taken extraordinary steps in dealing with the crisis to ensure their survivability.

As the impact of COVID-19 is far-reaching, please know we are in this together.

As this time, we are continuing as planned to host our ACE Academies for June and July. This is not a decision we take lightly. The health, safety, and well-being of our directors, students and volunteers are of the utmost importance. Given the fluid nature of the Coronavirus outbreak, we will continue to assess the situation and provide updates via email along with having them posted on our website.

Given the fluid nature of the Coronavirus outbreak, we highly encourage parents/guardians and students periodically check our website for the latest information.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact us or our National ACE Academy Director, Geoff Berry at gberry@obap.org.

COVID-19 Guidelines for ACE Academies

The following guidelines are in effect for all ACE Academies:

  • Registration fees are refundable until further notice.
  • Registration will remain open for an academy unless the location’s director and the National ACE Academy Director make a determination to cancel the academy (local or state policies/guidelines may require a cancellation)

In the event of a cancellation:

  • A notification will be sent to students and parents.
  • Registration fees will be refunded to the original form of payment.

For the safety of our students and volunteers, we will not accept students or volunteers who:

  • Have visited a CDC Level 3 country within 30 days of an academy’s start date.
  • Display cold or flu-like symptoms at any point during the academy.
