The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) is a tax exempt, non-profit organization. When you make a charitable gift to OBAP, you will actively contribute to increasing diversity and interest in aviation amongst youth and young adults nationwide.
- In 2015 OBAP gave nearly $300,000 in scholarships.
- Through Aerospace Professionals in Schools (APIS), OBAP reached 100,000 children in 2015.
- Each summer, more than 500 children participate in weeklong Aviation Career Education (ACE) academies, in cities throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Through the Solo Flight Academy 21 young adults were granted the opportunity to solo in an airplane this past year.
- Through a unique partnership with the Academy of Model Aeronautics, 20 young people, in Mobile, AL and Memphis, TN received scholarships to learn to program and fly unmanned aircrafts, more commonly known as drones.
With your support, OBAP can continue the programs and initiatives that have effectively lead to positive and incredibly exciting change within aerospace for more than 30 years.
